Process Post #9 - Transmedia Integration

Finding a voice in a sea of people is difficult. With so many people doing the same thing, it is often hard to find a voice. Some people do food reviews, but fewer specialize in boba. That provides me with a bit of an advantage. The problem is getting more recognition other than from my website. With just a website, it can only get you so far in where you want to get. Incorporating more transmedia will help bring traction.

One way is through social media:

  • Social media platforms allow direct engagement with audiences in real time; they can help connect with people and build a stronger community.
  • Social media has multiple platforms. Using many apps can allow different people to find my reviews and attract new audiences to my work.
  • Social media has the potential for content to go viral. Viralability of content will help with the visibility of my work.

There are many different advantages to using social media. Finding the platform to do it is important. Some plans to integrate my reviews through different social media would be making my reviews into short-form video content. Many people, including me, do not like to read. Creating videos and making things more visual will keep viewers’ attention and make them want more. By doing this, I will bring in more viewers. Through my social media, I can link and promote my website through my videos, bringing more attention to it. The first places I want to use are Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, three platforms that thrive on short-form content. Using these platforms will allow me to find the most success. Hopefully, people will come and chew some balls with me by doing this.
