Process Post #7 - Web Design + Format of Reviews

When I first started on my website, I was a bit behind when sitting up on my website. But being behind allowed me to look at other websites and get inspiration. Looking at some websites, I noticed that many followed a similar format or premade templates. I felt that made most of the website a bit boring and bland (no offence). Wanting to spice things up, I wanted to design my own website from scratch. For my website, I’ve been using Elementor to make the design process more manageable. Although it was quite confusing at first, it became more understandable after watching a couple of YouTube videos and asking friends within tutorials. Mauvé’s presentation today made it clear how vital web design is, how it helps express your websites, and how engaged a viewer will be from first impressions.

For my reviews, there were a couple of things I wanted to incorporate. General information about the store, the drink menu, a brief explanation of the drinks and toppings, and the prices and promotions. General information will allow the audience to understand a brand better and enable them to decide if they are interested in the brand without any biased opinions. Afterwards, I would give my opinion on the brand so they have a general outlook and allow them to decide whether to try it out. Through this format a person will be able to get the necessary information to make their own decision and gauge their interest in trying the places I review. Or, hopefully, they will.
